Minor mention of rape ahead.
I'm not sure how well this chapter translates because a large part of its humour relies on the contrast between how adorable/pretty Gu Xiang looks, and how brash she acts and speaks — she is very far from a timid/virtuous "ideal Confucian woman". Here's an occasion to say that I <i>love</i> how the actress (Zhou Ye) in the web-series played the role. Though the book version is kinda even more bratty and rude.
